Online GDPR training courses, created by Elberling, naturally contained a lot of complex information. To make all this data easier to digest, overlays and animations were added to the videos.
Previously, the videos had no sense of branding or cohesion. We established a brand style to unify all the course videos, of which there were dozens.
A fine line was needed to translate broad ideas and fine details into understandable graphics. It was just as important to know when to omit these, to allows emphasis on the video presenter, and course creator, Nicolai Elberling.

But simply creating the video asset wasn’t enough. With the huge scope of videos, and therefore graphics, that were needed, we needed an easily scalable and flexible template. Something that could be quickly adapted and altered for each video, whilst creating enough difference. With so many videos within a course, being able to tell them all apart was crucial.
Everything from photography styling to colour palette, divide transitions to iconography was considered, to created a unified style. Colour was needed at times for interest and highlighting key points. Sometimes graphics were white to stand out from the raw footage background, avoiding a clash of colours and ensure legibility.
